ORASKO is a fast-growing EPC contractor based in Malaysia, specializing in the construction and engineering of electrical substations. With over a decade of experience in substation projects, Ts. The Challenge
Before switching to primtech, ORASKO relied on 2D AutoCAD for their substation designs. While workable, this approach came with serious limitations. It left too much to the imagination, especially for engineers unfamiliar with the physical layout of substations. Design reviews suddenly made sense even to engineers with no field experience. “primtech leaves less room for false imagination, because designing in 3d makes so much more sense” says Zul.
His team can now visualize substations in detail, run clearance and phase checks early in the process, and onboard newcomers with ease. And one of the most impactful changes: the design team is now actively involved in the tendering process.
Before primtech, the design department only came in after a project had been won. Tenders were based on rough estimates and Excel-based assumptions. That often led to cost gaps and project risks. Now, using the detailed 3D data from primtech, Zul’s team can provide accurate quantities and bill of materials upfront. This makes the tender documents more complete, realistic, and competitive – while also reducing surprises down the road.
