Substation design: OSR - Optical Symbol Recognition - substation BIM model out of point cloud scans
The primtech tool - Optical Symbol Recognition (OSR) - allows, with the help of artificial intelligence in a highly automatic process, the creation of primtech substation model out of point cloud scans. The created primtech models are intelligent 3D models and comply with the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Philosophy - so called primtech substation BIM Models. primtech creates the models according to the detected points and the specific signature within the point clouds and then builds up assemblies - step by step - to a complete BIM model.
Substation design: Realistic Wires with Advanced Wire Mode
The video shows how to easily create realistic wires with the "Advanced Wire Mode" of the engineering software "primtech 3d". This option can be called up on the wires’ context menu - Curvature Type Advanced Modus. This modus allows the modifying of the position and curvature of the wires in space - using grips (blue points). Any number of control points (grips) can be added or deleted. The entry tangent on both ends of the wire can be defined freely. This allows the user to design realistic wires for new substations or as well for already existing substations based on laser scan point cloud data. It is then possible to comfortably recreate the wire curve as visible from the laser scan capture. To create any wires, first use the primtech connection configurator and then decide what mode (normal or advanced) to use.
Substation design: visualization and real time performance - big substation model
The video shows the real time performance of primtech 3d without fast forwarding. It demonstrates the easy modification of a substation model in 3D and part of the physical design process - including model management, design checks and visualization.

Substation design: phase checker

Substation design: BIM - Building Information Modeling - control building for HV substations
This BIM - Building Information Modeling video demonstrates how easy it is to create a control building for high-voltage substations using the primtech BIM feature. The three main stages to create a control building are covered by special functions. They are: easy 3D building modeling (intelligent objects like walls, doors, stairs…), interior equipment objects and furnishings (switchboards, office furniture …) and, last but not least, comfortable drawing creation and reporting.
